Yamaha Upper Gear Case Seal Replacement

During a water pump rebuild you get the change to visually inspect the upper seals on your gear case.  Any signs of physical failure or signs of water in gear oil mean these seals need to be replaced.  While you are there, you may as well change your shift seal (o-ring).  

We developed a unique tool "Upper Bearing Carrier Puller" to quickly and safely remove the upper bearing carier without having to pry on the water pump seal surface.  If you damage this surface you will impact the performance of the water pump and that is a major problem.
